傻瓜書日 Fotobook DUMMIES Day 於 2018 年 5 月成立於台北，專注於策畫以影像與自出版為核心的展覽、活動與討論，定期舉辦同名攝影藝術書展，聚集以書作為載體、影像為媒介的創作者。近年來致力於東南亞攝影書與自出版的書寫計畫，2022 年與朋丁 pon ding 共同出版《熱帶島讀：攝影書與自出版》；2024 年由 Limestone Books 發行 《熱帶島讀：攝影書與自出版》英文版二版。

傻瓜書日攝影藝術書展聚焦於「影像」、「自出版」及「社群」，舉辦過四屆攝影藝術書展，於酒吧、青年旅館和獨立書店以及台灣當代文化實驗場（C-LAB）等場地，將非典型空間轉換成凝聚自出版社群的場域，歡迎做著傻瓜書（dummy book）的傻瓜們（dummies）一同參與！

About Fotobook DUMMIES Day

Fotobook DUMMIES Day is an artist-led initiative focusing on photobooks and self-publishing since 2018, currently based in Taipei, Taiwan. 

First established as a photobook fair, with the aim of gathering artists who work with images and self-publishing, Fotobook DUMMIES Day experiments with these two mediums as a curatorial basis for exhibitions, events and artist talks.

Expanding the scope of the conversation further, Fotobook DUMMIES Day began an extensive field research project in Southeast Asia in 2019. In May 2022, Tropical Reading: Photobook and Self-Publishing was co-published by Fotobook DUMMIES Day and pon ding. In 2024, Limestone Books released the second English edition of Tropical Reading: Photobook and Self-Publishing. This project is still ongoing. 

Fotobook DUMMIES Day focuses on "images," "self-publishing," and "community." It has held four editions of the photobook fair, transforming alternative spaces — a bar, a youth hostel, an independent bookstore and C-Lab— into a temporary gathering place for the self-publishing community. We extend a warm invitation to all artists, collectives, independent publishers, bookshops, and many more, to gather under one roof!
